This pattern was designed and commissioned by Marylin Crockett. The illustrations were orchestrated by the origin of chinoiserie and peony flowers.  Transparency and layered nuances of each petal are consistently intertwined with the illustration style.

CLIENT INSPIRATION

The client provided her vision and inspiration for the final product. This included the color palette, historical features of chinoiserie, and a layered illustrative approach.   

PROCESS
I provided two illustration options; the client chose one option, while making one change to the background color.
