TARGET STILL LIFE
---
13” x 18”
This still life was constructed by rearranging furniture and store
items from different areas of the store. The couch was in a separate location from the shelf, meanwhile the cabinet was in another aisle. This process encouraged viewer and environment interaction with curiously baffled Target shoppers.

Carlisle Iowa Corn
---
10” x 10”
The year that my Halmoni, my Korean Grandmother, had passed, I found myself connecting my work to her so that during the creative processes I felt closer to her. My Halmoni was born in South Korea and fell in love with an Iowan who served during the Korean War. They moved to a farm in Iowa where one of the many crops they harvested was corn. This diptych alludes to the story of seasons and symbolically carries one that I hold near to my heart.
